Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a report of a fire in a porch at 3.32pm Tuesday 15th April in Wildwood, Woodside, Telford. Two appliances from Telford and an appliance from Tweedale, together with a Fire Investigations Officer attended the fire which was started deliberately. At 5.10pm Sunday 13th April 2014 a report was received of a tree stump and overgrowth on fire in Twyford Lane, Oswestry. At 5.12pm we received a report of household rubbish and a mattress on fire under the bridge in Maesbury Road, Oswestry. At 4.50pm on the same day crews attended a report of a wheelie bin on fire in Gower Place, Oswestry. And at 2.53pm crews attended a report of a Ford Fiesta on fire in Bailey...

Schoolchildren were bowled over in the county fire safety quiz run by Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service. A total of 48 youngsters from 12 county schools won a meal and bowling sessions courtesy of the management at the Ten Pin bowling alley in Telford. Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a report of a property fire at 01.53am Wednesday 2nd April in Bishopdale, Brookside, Telford. Two appliances from Tweedale and one appliance from Telford Central attended. Fire Investigation and Scenes of Crime also attended the scene. The fire is being treated as arson and a male has been arrested on suspicion of arson.
