GMFRS on a mission this christmas
written by News on the 22nd November 2017 at 0:00

AFTER great success in previous years, Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) is again supporting Key 103’ Mission Christmas.

All 41 community fire stations across Greater Manchester are acting as collection points for toy donations until the cut-off date Wednesday, December 13.

The following day, a fire crew from Sale and volunteers will take all of the collected gifts to Mission Christmas HQ before using the parade pump to deliver them to Salford Royal Hospital, Manchester Children's Hospital and several Sure Start centres. All the action from Mission Christmas will be broadcast live on Key 103 radio station.

If you would like to make a difference and be someone’s Secret Santa, you can either take a new and unwrapped toy suitable for ages under 18 to a local drop-off point or make a cash donation. For more information on how to donate, please visit Key 103’s website HERE.

GMFRS has always support the Cash for Kids charity, including Superhero Day 2017 where a very poorly young boy’s dream of becoming a superhero for the day came true. The Service has also helped Key 103 raise £80,601 for the When You Wish Upon a Star charity.
