Man arrested following Norwich arsons

A man has been arrested and bailed in connection with a series of incidents in Norwich.

Police are linking four incidents of arson and one of criminal damage that they were called out to on the evening of Saturday 9 May and the morning of Sunday 10 May.

• An arson incident outside Tesco Express on Dereham Road where a stack of newspapers were set alight causing damage to a doorway
• Two arson incidents on Adelaide Street where the petrol cap was snapped off and the paint burnt off a Volkswagen Polo and the rear handle burnt off a Renault Clio
• An arson incident on Dereham Road where a wheelie bin was set on fire
• A criminal damage incident on Adelaide Street where the petrol cap was snapped off a Fiat 500

Officers arrested a 35-year-old man from Norwich on suspicion of arson on Sunday (10 May) in connection with these incidents. He has been questioned by officers and bailed to return to Wymondham Police Investigation Centre on Wednesday 1 July.
