Man jailed for attack on homeless friend

A homeless man who stripped a friend naked during a vicious attack has been jailed for two years and three months.

Lukasz Szymczak, 28, kicked, punched and even tipped a wheelie bin onto the man during an assault that lasted more than five minutes.

He also shouted at the man while pulling his clothing off,only stopping the attack when emergency services arrived.

Semi-conscious Police and ambulance staff found the victim, who was also homeless, lying semi-conscious in a loading area off Angel Lane, Tonbridge, on the evening of 10 November 2014.

He was taken to King’s College Hospital in London where he was diagnosed with bleeding to the brain, a broken nose and multiple cuts and bruises.

Szymczak pleaded guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm and was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on Tuesday 28 April.
