Arson – Bawsey Pits

Police are appealing for information after a large area of Bawsey Pits was damaged following an incident of arson yesterday (Sunday 10 May).

Around 400 metres of grassland, some trees and an electricity poll were damaged by the fire which was deliberately started sometime between 12pm and 5.30pm.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the Bawsey Pits area between the times stated.
